TECHNIC, Inc. was started as a private company in the 1940's and has remained under the original ownership.The firm grew, steadily expanding its plating technology, first in the jewelry industry, and then in the 1950's, in the burgeoning electronics industries. Its customers expanded from New England to the west coast and then Europe and Asia. Today, TECHNIC is one of the world's largest suppliers of precious and non-precious plating chemistry and processes for electronics.

TECHNIC Asia Pacific Pte Ltd was established in 1988 to support it's customers in the Asia Pacific region It expanded from technical support and chemical sales till today a regional headquater of the Asia Pacific Group.

The growth in the company has been driven both by its own research and by acquisitions and partnerships with other companies. The list of this expansion includes:


1988 TECHNIC Asia Pacific Pte Ltd was established in Singapore.
1996 TECHNIC Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd was established in Malaysia to provide chemicals sales and equipment assembly.
1997 TECHNIC Suzhou Semiconductor Engineering Co. Ltd was established to provide plating services, plating chemicals and plating equipment.
2001 Expanded with the establishment of Technic Taiwan Co. Ltd.
2002 TECHNIC Future Automation Pte. Ltd was established in Singapore for equipment manufacturing and technical support
2002 TECHNIC Asia Pacific Engineering Ltd was established in Thailand as a plating service provider, sales for technical support, chemicals and plating equipment.
